Kirlian photography is different. It is an exciting and enjoyable tool for discovery. It enables us to see ourselves in a new light, which in turn enables us to make changes towards creating more of the quality of life we want for others and ourselves. Kirlian photography opens doors of perception that would otherwise remain closed to many of us. Kirlian photography is unlike ordinary photography in that the camera uses a die-electric plate or large electrode rather than a lens to see the image and unlike an ordinary lensed camera the image captured is usually invisible to the human eye.

It was first discovered by the Russian Semyon Kirlian in 1939, who was a self-educated electrician and part-time inventor, using equipment at a local hospital, where he worked as a maintenance man and electrician. His first subject was his own hand and he was startled to see that a mysterious glow emanated from the finger tips in the dark silhouette-like image. Fascinated by this unexpected result, he and his wife continued experimenting, gradually perfecting their techniques and equipment and photographing an ever expanding range of subjects, both live and inanimate. The results were provocative in the extreme. A freshly cut leaf, for example, would be surrounded by a bright aura and its surface spangled with myriad points of light. A few days later, the same leaf would have a dimmer aura, and most of the points of light would be gone. In one experiment (conducted by his followers), part of a leaf was torn off before the leaf was photographed. The developed image was however complete and intact. This became known as the 'phantom leaf'.

Kirlian photography is a highly technical system, which enables us to see ourselves in a completely unique way. We all know that magnets have an invisible energy field, which can be seen when we sprinkle iron filings around them. Many people today accept that we also have an energy field which surrounds us, which can also be made visible when we use cascades of electrons produced by a Kirlian machine!

The electro-magnet energy field is of interest to us as it has been found to contain information that relates directly to the psychological and biological systems that make up the individual. An electro-magnetic field is simply a space charged with energy.

If you accept that you are more than blood, bones and bio-chemicals wrapped up in skin then you will find it easier to consider the ideas I am putting to you but whatever you believe consider the following.

Most orthodox approaches to healing, including drugs and surgery are based on Isaac Newton's understanding of the world as a complex multitude of molecular interactions. In other words Sir Isaac Newton viewed the human body as no more than a complex machine. In order to understand the Kirlian phenomenon more fully Isaac Newton's mechanistic view of life needs to be expanded upon. Albert Einstein did just that. In contrast to Newton, Einstein considered the human being to be made up of complex cellular systems involving brain and biochemistry but he also gave credibility to Dr. Samuel Hahnemann's idea that our physical and psychological make up was in dynamic partnership with inter-penetrating, inter-active energy systems that have intelligent harmonising and regulating agendas.

Albert Einstein considered that energy and matter was one and the same thing E=MC². At the quantum level of sub-atomic physics, it is known that all matter is literally made up of energy and particles. Quantum physics show clearly how these energy particles make up into molecules of certain patterns in order to create the various forms of physical life that we all know so well. Of course we cannot see these energy particles with the naked eye nor can we see the electrical fields that they create, yet with the Kirlian camera we can make this invisible energy world visible.

If the human anatomy is in fact built upon an energy matrix as is suggested, then it follows that any disturbance experienced by an individual must correspondingly show itself in a disturbance in this energy body. Of course Homeopathy, Acupuncture and many other healing systems of medicine understand this principle and have aimed their treatment at harmonising this energy body. Kirlian photography can show that subtle energy systems such as Homeopathy, Acupuncture and many others can, and do, influence the behaviour of cellular systems. Kirlian photography can also show that the subtle energy produced by thoughts and emotions can and do affect the energy fields that surround us. It is also more than likely that the invisible energies produced by these dynamic fields can and do affect our minds and bodies in subtle yet powerful ways.

Each of us have our own individual set of fingerprints likewise our every emotion or thought has its own unique energy pattern or signature that can be recognised in a Kirlian photograph. Of course each of us have our own complex pattern of thoughts and emotions and interpretations of the resulting Kirlian photograph is not an exact science but an experienced and skillful reader can give a credible interpretation of what is there. Kirlian photography holds clues to the way scientists in the future may eventually detect precursors to illness by studying patterns of life energies that bring order or disorder to the minds and bodies of human beings.

Conscious or unconscious stress and tension along with negative attitudes, thoughts and emotions can and do affect the depth pattern and clarity of your Kirlian photograph. The benefits of a positive experience can actually be seen as well as felt using the Kirlian technique.

Wholesome food has a corona luminosity and an energy field that not only suggests its vitality but shows it too.
