Silver has actually much more in common with our health than is actually understood and much wisdom has been forgotten, then deliberately buried and then recently been re -discovered.

Silver has the effect of killing bacteria and viruses upon contact within a few minutes, it is believed that silver stops the organism's ability to use oxygen and so it dies.

But the story of silver as a health enhancer goes back many thousands of years and then, to more recent times from the 1930s until the 1970s silver compounds were used in treatments like eye creams to kill infections and in so many other ways your own research on the web will reveal.

With the advent of penicillin and then other antibiotics the drug companies found they could make more money pushing these various patented brands and compounds and so for a while (at least in the main stream) silver was forgotten.

However, this was a great pity as there is not one superbug that can develop immunity to suffocation, and silver has no known side effects (it is in most of the things you eat as a trace element) and the medical profession thought it safe to put directly into my own eyes several times as a child and it worked very well.

At the turn of the last century (1900) silver was mechanically ground to fine particles or it was dissolved in acid and then processed to be used in many medical applications, this worked very well as an antibiotic but resulted in quite a large (by today's standards) particle sizes.

The smaller the particle the more easily the body deals with it and removes the silver after it has done its job.
